Just as one Oklahoma operator was at their wit’s end due to repeated equipment failures, Valiant helped them achieve reliable ESP run life on a well previously believed to be too problematic to produce.

LOCATION: Wilcox Formation, Pawnee, Oklahoma
APPLICATION: High Sand Production, Abrasive Well Conditions Causing Broken Shaft Failures
In the span of one year, the operator had pulled three separate units from two different suppliers, all for broken shafts due to sand issues. As a Hail Mary, they decided to take one last chance to recover their losses, this time with a Valiant ESP. The customer expected to get a three-month run out of the new equipment before pulling again, at which point they planned to perform re-completion work.
However, in that window, market conditions changed, and the operator decided to leave the pumps installed. To their relief, Valiant kept the well producing without issues where past experience had convinced them it was a lost cause. In fact, Valiant’s system continued running in the well, delivering over a year of continuous ESP run life.
The solution? A winning combination of quality ARM technology, intuitive Zone® sizing software, and experience operating in difficult downhole environments. The installed configuration featured 3 ARM VC1750 pumps and 2 abrasion-resistant Intercept vortex gas separators. With seamless execution, Valiant achieved what other service companies failed to do: safely deliver reliable, profitable production when the customer needed it most.
