Unfortunately for one of our customers, the limited access to electricity at a saltwater disposal site in Pecos, Texas meant that their three new Aquarius® HPS units would not be in operation for another seven months.

Despite this setback, our teams took the initiative to ensure these systems would remain in good condition during the interim. Without request from the operator, our technicians were on location every 45 days to rotate the pumps and prevent the bearings from plaquing while not in operation.

Once the power was available, the start up date finally arrived. As there can up to 15-20 people on location at once during this process including electricians, drive technicians, and other crews – any disruptions in the procedure would have significantly increased the operator’s expense and led to further downtime. For this case in particular, there was no room for error.
Thankfully, with lockstep coordination between our team members paired with a rehearsed game plan, we were able to finish the installations in less than half the estimated time.
