AUGUST 2019
Every year, World Oil recognizes leaders and technologies that are helping revolutionize the way oil is produced for lasting impacts. This year, Valiant was proud to make the list with our Aquarius® Horizontal Pumping Solutions as a finalist in the Best Water Management Technology Award.

The Aquarius Horizontal Pumping Solutions product line (designed and manufactured by Valiant Artificial Lift Solutions) is one of the most versatile solutions for operators’ fluid transfer, disposal, and treatment requirements on the market. The pumps can be used in a breadth of applications due to the full-spectrum horsepower and pressure design capabilities. Aquarius systems have been designed fit-for-purpose to meet a diverse range of specifications, from economical, compact designs and mobile units, to extreme-high-pressure and horsepower designs. The strength of the Aquarius product line is further enhanced by the focus of engineering excellence into the design and manufacture of each system. Valiant’s dedicated HPS team, led by Michael Card, developed the product line with a focus on ensuring operator success and minimizing their cost of ownership. This is reflected in the modular, operator-friendly design which enables faster and less expensive equipment replacements, downsizing, transportation, and installation.
In 2018, Valiant deployed surface and mobile Aquarius HPS units across the Permian to meet operators’ demand for cost-effective water management solutions. In one application, this mobile solution effectively saved the operator nearly $1 million in deferred production by enabling the operator to start production. Without Valiant’s responsive, economical solution, the operator was facing a 3-month lead time from another service provider for a permanent unit, or would otherwise need to truck the fluid at a higher cost. The responsiveness, the customizability, and the full-spectrum engineering of the Aquarius HPS product line differentiate it from competing product lines in the oilfield by checking all the boxes needed to fulfill operators’ fluid transfer and disposal needs. Additional proof of this technology’s impact on not only the water management sector but also artificial lift as a whole is the recent integration of Aquarius pumps in international jet pumping applications.
